and shares information when you use the Verda mobile application (the "App").

- Expense data: merchant, amount, category, items, notes, and dates.
- Receipt content: images you upload and extracted text/line items.
- Voice input: audio you record and transcribed text.
- Rewards and redemptions data.
We may collect limited technical data, such as:
- Device and app info (device type, OS version, app version).
- Usage logs and crash diagnostics.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide core features (expense logging, insights, missions, rewards).
- Process receipt images and voice input.
- Improve product quality and detect issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Processing and OCR
If you scan receipts, we process images and text to extract line items and totals.
This may use third-party services (for example, Google Cloud Vision/Vertex AI)
through our backend.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Service providers (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud) to operate the App.
- Law enforcement if required by law.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Your data is stored in our backend (Firebase/Firestore/Storage). We retain
information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide
services. You can request deletion by contacting us.
6. Your Choices
- You can update or delete certain information in the App.
- You can request account deletion and data removal.
- You can disable permissions (camera, microphone, photos), but some features
may not work.
7. Security
We use reasonable security measures to protect data, but no system is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version
and change the effective date.
